OMNIE's statewide project to promote careers in
speech-language pathology and audiology.

A career recruitment DVD with accompanying Power Point "Communication Happens in the Schools-Speech Language Pathology and Audiology," provides an overview of speech-language pathologists and educational audiologists in school settings. |
| When: |
The project is ongoing. Stipends are available to local speech language pathologists and educational audiologists for mentoring high school and college level students and promoting awareness of speech pathology and audiology careers in the school setting. |
| Where: |
The recruitment DVD, DVD player, promotional literature, and power point presentation are available to school based speech-language pathologists at the 16 statewide State Support Team Regions or e-mail OMNIE (nada@ameritech.net) |
| Who: |
Guidance counselors, advisors, and librarians, in conjunction with speech language pathologists, audiologists and members of the Ohio School Speech-Language Pathology Supervisory and Audiology Network are distributing promotional materials to local high schools. |
| How: |
At 'Career Days' and 'Future Teacher of America' programs along with meetings at high schools and/or developing a mentorship with interested students, etc. |
